When you think of a locksmith you probably imagine an elderly gentlemen with a few key blanks and a round fine file. Well the market and industry of locks and locksmiths have changed dramatically. The good locksmiths of today still carry with them those same tools, skills, techniques and passion. However most locksmiths of today also carry a wide variety of electronic tools, because a high portion of the locks of today are electronic. Dan has built a reputation with their customer base of delivering a highly reliable service around Christchurch and the surrounding areas. His main focus is automotive car keys, whether it be an old 1930's Ford pickup, or this years model luxury vehicle. He is not shy to the electronic world and certainly not shy of a challenge.
We like to think we offer the best possible service to our customers, and in doing so we rely highly on public feedback. Although Lock n' Code is a new venture for myself, we have been in the industry long enough to know what people like. Some people like the best price, and some prefer the best service. We do our very best to tailor our service to both of these markets. We have a long list of satisfied customers throughout Canterbury.
Although being a Master Qualified Locksmith - Dan's background is mechanics, generated from working on cars which soon turned a hobby into a passion. His spare time is spent preparing, building and rebuilding racing motorcycles. He competes on a national level in New Zealand. Locksmithing is Dan's career, and combined with his passion for motorcycles this gives him a huge drive and skill set for working on motorcycle locks, keys and fobs. Although focusing on key areas we also offer a range of services involving mobile house visits, safe work, commercial lock installation and re-keying, mobile calls for car keys, etc. If it involves a lock or a key, we probably have an affordable solution for you!

We already do a lot of work for motorcycle shops and dealerships around the Canterbury area and even throughout New Zealand. The reason we deal with shops on a national level is because the motorbike transponder work we provide is a very niche market, but we excel in it. We service a wide range of motorcycle computers when all keys have been lost. We have an attitude that would be hard to compare to other servicemen around the country. We do it because we enjoy it, as much as it being a career.
